Utilisée depuis longtemps dans les caves pour identifier et répertorier les régions viticoles, les appellations, les millésimes... c'est une solution de marquage facile, durable  et lisible.

Les étiquettes s'accrochent par un clou, elles se suspendent à une ficelle de jute ou de coton.
